Drone Jammers: Cybersecurity’s Long Range Weapon
Technology has been there to make our lives easier as we go on with our everyday lives. However, its convenience has been a factor for fear too, because slowly, it is being used against us. Take drones for example. They are cameras which can be used for documenting precious moments in aerial view, and what makes it interesting is its wide range, which you can access even if you are far away.
This makes it really scary, because there have been instances wherein drones are used to invade the privacy of others, and even involved for voyeurism when they are used by the wrong hands. When inhumane things can be done through technology, then it would be best if we are prepared to combat it with another product of technology as well.
Thus, the birth of drone jammers. Almost like having superpowers – drone jammers work by firing electromagnetic signals at the same frequency, which is typically around 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz. It is also a long-range weapon which can fire up to 400 meters away, and despite the said distance, can disrupt a drone’s GPS and radio signal from its ground station. Another great thing is that drone jammers are not supposed to destroy its targets, just block its communication from its pilot. Cheaper drones may fall to the ground upon contact, but those with better quality makes the drone turn around to its owner instead. These devices are heavy and bulky to use, even the handheld ones. It might pose difficulty when it comes to deploying them, but what’s important is that it is able to do its job, which is to protect the innocents from having their lives intruded from unnamed aerial vehicles. Make sure to consider its downfall, since some drones may drop at the sudden contact, and there is a risk of civil damage once it crashes. All you have to do is be careful!
As drones become cheaper and more accessible, they can be purchased by anyone, and they can use it anywhere, as long as the parameters are within reach. Due to its worldwide availability, how can you tell if someone’s drone just flies by out of pure intent? Better safe than sorry! You are entitled to your space, so once it reaches yours, you can just use this gun-like machine to disrupt the drone’s connection. In this way, you will always feel safe wherever you are, because we value and respect your privacy as individuals.
Technology might be a great thing for others, but not all the time. Once it feels scary and dangerous, you have to at least feel safe upon owning this. You cannot stop the public from buying drones, but you can protect yourselves by never compromising your privacy and safety, and by always being prepared to strike whenever needed, for your protection. Drone jammers are here to assure your safety and security.
